The world is split between the Great Bubble and the Outlands. In the Bubble there is no cash and the =phone is literally the lifeblood of the Bubblers; without it, one can do almost nothing. No paying for food, no travelling, no access to one’s home.
 
The man who invented the =phone lives in Limbo in between both worlds. He saw his mistake. He saw what was coming. He feels sorely responsible.
This man has two main missions: to win back the love of his life and to destroy the Bubble.
